Embark on an intense 3-day gorilla safari to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to over half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas. Trek through dense tropical rainforests, meet these gentle giants up close, and enjoy spectacular scenic views of the Kigezi Highlands (the "Switzerland of Africa").
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Drive from Entebbe to Bwindi Forest
Early morning pickup from your hotel. Drive westwards, stopping at the Equator crossing for photos and lunch in Mbarara town. Wind through the rolling terraced hills of Kigezi before arriving at your lodge near the Bwindi park boundaries.
Day 2: The Ultimate Gorilla Trekking Experience
After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing. Enter the forest guided by expert rangers. The trek can take 2 to 6 hours depending on gorilla movement. Once found, spend exactly 1 hour observing these majestic primates. Return to lodge for dinner.
Day 3: Scenic Drive Back to Entebbe/Kampala
Breakfast at leisure, then check out and start your return journey. Enjoy views of the savannah gardens, stop for lunch en-route, and arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon for your departure flight.
