This 5-day primate safari is a dream come true for wildlife lovers. Discover Kibale Forest National Park, hosting the highest density of primates in East Africa, and track wild chimpanzees. Then journey to the misty ridges of Bwindi to meet the endangered mountain gorillas.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe to Kibale Forest
Drive through scenic tea plantations in Fort Portal. Check-in at your forest lodge and prepare for primate tracking.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary
Trek wild chimps in Kibale Forest. In the afternoon, take a guided walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary to spot rare birds and multiple monkey species.
Day 3: Drive to Bwindi via Queen Elizabeth Park
Pass through Queen Elizabeth National Park. Watch for savannah wildlife like elephants, antelopes, and warthogs en route to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Deep forest trekking for the mountain gorillas. Spend a magical hour with the family, taking photos and witnessing their daily interactions.
Day 5: Travel back to Entebbe Airport
Drive back to Entebbe with a stopover at the Uganda Equator for souvenir shopping and lunch. End of tour.
